Amelia is the Director of Cowaramup Legal and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2007. She spent 10 years as a local government lawyer working in policy development, compliance and litigation. After entering private practice, Amelia continued to work on planning matters but also focused on family law, and wills and probate. Amelia also has experience in commercial and personal injury matters.
Amelia is Deputy Chair of the Law Society’s Country Practitioners Committee in which she represents the Law Society of Western Australia in raising issues faced by country practitioners and country clients. She is also the Convenor of the Busselton/Margaret River Continuing Professional Development Discussion Group which provides support for local lawyers in attaining their continuing professional development requirements.
Being raised and having always lived in the country, Amelia understands the specific legal issues that country residents encounter. Amelia enjoys spending time with her family in the beautiful environment of the South West area. To assist in preserving this environment, Amelia is committed to Cowaramup Legal having a minimal environmental footprint.
